Born in Tupelo, Mississippi (yes, the same place as Elvis) and raised in several places amidst the American Southeast, I excelled in entertaining myself as a child by creating fantastic imaginary situations and playing all the characters. In school, I found I was adept in classes like English literature, history, and public speaking.
What inspired me to become an actor? Getting that first laugh, of course! I have loved making people laugh from the very beginning. I became involved in local community theatre productions and eventually, I went onto graduate study in theatre performance at the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduation, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and worked for several theatre companies, including the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Street Theatre Company, Watershed Public Theatre, and People’s Branch Theatre. I’ve also become involved in the local film industry through work in commercials, films, and voice over.
Inspired by luminaries like Robin Williams and Bill Irwin, I strive to create unique, authentic characters, both physically and vocally. Whether in contemporary works, musicals, or classical theatre, I feel invigorated when performing for an audience. It’s no wonder that clients have described my work as original, fearless, and memorable. At the end of the day, I’m the type of guy who loves to spread joy to others, either through the act of storytelling or the simple act of telling a joke. And I wouldn’t want to be any other way!
